Living Room Curtains!

So yesterday we took a lovely trip back down to IKEA. The plan was to look into some living room curtains as well as a new light fixture for the dining room.

After a very confusing time in the curtains section, we finally decided on a sliding panel curtain system. We thought it would give a much needed update to the room.
Here it is from IKEA's site:

IKEA Kravtal or something like that.

We also bought some regular curtains to go on the sides of the panels to soften the look a bit. We also wanted to tie it in to the adjoining dining room:

Same curtains!

We didn't make it home until late Saturday so we didn't have a chance to put anything together until Sunday. In the morning though after breakfast, we were on it!

If you are familiar with IKEA stuff then you know a couple of things already. One, it's not easy to put together. Secondly, their instructions are usually wordless and suck! Put those things together, and it took us SEVEN HOURS today to get the panel system up. It was incredibly difficult and problem-laden. But, we got through it and we think they look great!

Nice textures.  My iPhone didn't pick up the blue in the panel to the right.

Matches couch.

We're just not sure whether to actually put up those curtains on the side or just leave the panels. The curtains will be another big hassle and we're not sure they look that good with the panels. Either way we will leave them hanging there for a few days to see how we feel about them after that. Then, we shall see ...
